Let’s see one example: It’s a Fact!
On June 4 1996 the first flight of the European Space Agency’s Ariane 5 exploded in 37 seconds after its launch.
Guess what?
Because of a software defect.
It was reported that someone tried to convert a 64-bit float to a 16-bit signed integer that caused a numerical overflow!
This was a very costly coding error, This defect cost was $7billion.
Software Testing is very very important now a days.
One of the major reasons is the need to get products to the market faster. Consumers don’t want to wait for the next product release or latest feature update.
Software Testing is going to be more important in the near future. Because in the age of Agile and DevOps, where softwares are developed and delivered continuously, the job of software testers has become crucial.
